20-ton Heavy Machinery Operator
Location: Morgan Hill, CA
Pay: $45 per hour(non-negotiable)
Schedule: Full-time (30+ hours per week)
Work Type: On-site
Contract Role: 1 year+

About the Role
Machinery Operators to help test and operate large mining AUTONOMOUS vehicles. This role focuses on safely operating 20-ton vehicles, inspecting equipment, and providing feedback to engineering teams to improve vehicle performance and safety systems.

This is a great opportunity for experienced operators who take safety seriously and are interested in working with advanced vehicle technology.

What You’ll Do

Operate 20-ton mining vehicles and other fleet equipment safely
Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete DVIR reports
Report any maintenance or performance issues
Drive and operate vehicles for testing and evaluation
Provide written and verbal feedback to engineering teams about vehicle performance
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Travel up to 50% when needed to support testing activities

Requirements

At least 5 years of verifiable heavy machinery operating experience
Comfortable operating and backing large 20-ton vehicles
Ability to drive for extended periods of time
Clean driving record
Must pass a background check, road test, DOT physical, and drug test
Professional attitude and ability to follow instructions

Preferred (Not Required)
CDL Class A license

Work Schedule
12-hour shifts with alternating weeks:
Week 1: 3 days on, 4 days off
Week 2: 4 days on, 3 days off

First week of training may take place in Sunnyvale, CA. After training, work will be based in Morgan Hill.
